This rare & unusual bronze bust was cast by the Lost Wax method (Cire Perdue), Paul Auguste Gagne was a sculptor active in Paris in the to late 19th century, stylistically his work compares to that of Emile Eugene Hebert (1828 1893) who also produced such Egyptian Revival sculptures. Gagne exhibited
