I am not a lace expert, but I believe that the lace is Honiton, which is a type of bobbin lace that originated in the United Kingdom. It is hand made and must have taken many, many hours to make. The collar is rounded at the back and measures 10 1 2 in width by about 13 1 2 in height. I bought this antique lace collar many years ago with a few other pieces, all of which were basted to
