The base of the pitcher is sumptuously decorated with Neo-classical figures in high relief

finely inlaid with brass and bone marquetry of floral garlands & swags

To the front is a single locking drawer with a band of ormolu with circular devices which are repeated on the sides

many of these vessels are reassembled from fragments

with three hinged handles (one possibly a later replacement) and a band of inlaid silver 'ropework' design to the base
