The piece is marked Alero Sterling Silver on the backside Alero was a Mexican maker. I believe that the piece dates to the 1930s. Ive seen other examples of the this brooch, marked differently or not at all, and they lack the detail on this piece. The brooch measures 2 5 8 in height and 1 7 8 in width it weighs 0. 5 of an ounce. It is in very good
