For sale here is a Charlton Signature Series 8500 1.2 fly reel with 3 spare spools. Good used condition, this is an early Charlton with the cork drag system, made before the switch to stacked carbon fiber discs (serial #SS9036). RHW. The drag works as intended but doesn't have the top-end resistance that I expect on the later carbon drag reels. Signs of honest use to the reel and all spools, although one spool is noticeably cleaner than the others. A few dings/scratches to the rims, but the reel remains mechanically sound. Stabilized wood handle grasp and telephone dial drag adjustment. All spools fit properly, and the reel weighs 12.59oz. The drag dial bears the original owners name (author and early Charlton dealer Richard Stoll). A nice used Charlton reel with enough extra spools to cover your bases on a long trip.
