Choose the protocol songs for my wedding

In this article, I’m going to answer the questions that couples often have when choosing songs for the different moments of their wedding, not including the dance. Ceremony, reception, gift giving, surprises…

First, you need to know what kind of couple you are:
1.- You have it all figured out. The moments and the songs.
2.- You have a clear idea of some songs, but you don’t know when to play them.
3.- You have no idea and don’t know where to start.

If you have it all figured out, you’re probably good to go, or maybe not… If you already have some songs but don’t know when to play them to make the wedding perfect, then you’ll have to listen to the songs, look at the lyrics, especially if they’re in a language other than your own.

People often make the mistake of thinking that if a song has a nice melody, it’s a beautiful song… but that’s not always the case. The lyrics might be saying the opposite of what you want to convey.

Another common mistake is wanting the songs that are currently the most popular.
Keep in mind that the songs you choose are the ones that will probably be featured in the video and photos… and in some photos too.
These are songs to remember your moment.
The typical songs that are number one right now may be great for the dance floor, but for the cake entrance? Are you sure?

For those of you who aren’t sure, I would start with several questions:

What style of music do you like?

Is there a song that reminds you of your partner when you hear it?

Is there a song from a concert or movie that you can say is your song?

What kind of music do your parents like? Their song should be played when you give your parents their gift during the wedding reception.

And if you are giving dolls/brides and grooms or some other gift to a guest, what style of music does that guest like?

Once you have the answers to these questions, you’ll be well on your way to choosing the songs that will accompany you in your wedding memories.
